LATEST HAIR LOSS RESEARCH
Hair loss is said to be caused by a variety of symptoms such as:
• Nutritional deficiency
• Poor circulation
• Stress and Trauma
• Traction Alopecia (twisting and pulling)
• Androgenetic Alopecia (pattern or hereditary hair loss)
Although these symptoms are relevant to some extent leading Dermatologists in the United States
and Europe as well as researchers inform us that Androgenetic Alopecia (pattern or hereditary hair loss)
is responsible for almost 95% of hair loss cases in both men and women.
ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA
Excessive research has been compiled on hair loss and the different causes that
contribute to thinning hair and hair loss.
One of the greatest breakthroughs found in the course of this study was that
approximately 95% of hair loss in males and females is as a result of Androgenetic
Alopecia (hereditary, pattern hair loss).
Statistics from an American based Dermatology academy informs us that a staggering
25% of men suffer from Androgenetic Alopecia, resulting in baldness by the age of 30
years and 66% of males will experience this type of hair loss some time in their lives.
Research also revealed that 27% of women will have to deal with the effects of
Androgenetic Alopecia (pattern hair loss) in their late 40's to early 50's.
ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA IN MEN
Hair is lost in a well-defined pattern, beginning above both temples.
Over time, the hairline recedes to form a characteristic "M" shape.
Hair also thins at the crown (near the top of the head), often progressing to partial or complete baldness.
